This view runs east towards the local village of St. Pierre de Cole and the River Cole, which is approximately 2 metres deep, getting progressively shallower as you canoe towards the village. We have two 3-man canoes available, providing you with plenty of opportunities for canoeing and practicing your skills, as well as enjoying some trout fishing along the way.

Here's the view, westwards, showing the sluice gate on the weir and the 3 islands, plus the leat going towards the Mill. On the larger island, we have birds and wild ducks nesting every year. If you enjoy Trout fishing, this area is perfect, especially for catching Trout and Pike. Additionally, in the Summer, the other side of the weir is knee deep, making it ideal for exploring and even Canoeing along the River Cole.

For the keen fisherman, the experience of canoeing along the River Cole is quite idyllic, especially when it comes to trout fishing.

The River Cole features ladder access for swimming, and a small slip provides easy access for canoeing. It’s also a great spot for trout fishing.
