L'Ecurie Guest Cottage
The Stables History
L'Ecurie was renovated from the old Stables in 2006, transforming it into a charming guest accommodation. We have restored many original features with love and care. When we started the renovations, we were very careful to keep the roof beams and original stone walls, although a new roof was put on the whole of these outbuildings. This building has a date stone marked from the 1640s and was the original Chateau before the principal residence was built in 1848. L'Ecurie is approximately 169 sq. metres, making it a perfect guest cottage for visitors seeking a unique stay.
These stables would have housed the horses used to pull the carriages, which were kept next door in the now Workshop and Garage. As with Le Chai, we have added double glazed windows and doors and insulated the roof, ensuring comfort while enjoying views of the picturesque riverbank terrace.

We really enjoyed renovating these buildings and embraced the feeling of living in an open plan environment. The kitchen in our guest cottage is fully equipped with everything we could think of to make life as easy as possible for our guests staying at the riverbank terrace.
