L'Ecurie was renovated from the old Stables in 2006. We have restored many original features with love and care. When we started the renovations, we were very careful to keep the roof beams and original stone walls, although a new roof was put on the whole of these outbuildings. This building has a date stone, marked at the 1640s. and was the original Chateau before the principal residence was built 1848. L'Ecurie is approximately 169 sq.metres.
These stables would have housed the horses used to pull the carriages which were kept next door in the now Workshop and Garage. As with Le Chai, we have added double glazed windows and doors and insulated the roof.

We really enjoyed renovating these buildings and embraced the feeling of living in an open plan environment. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything we could think of to make life as easy as possible for our guests.

A great view of the living area, not forgetting the 90cm Gas range.

This lounge area overlooks the dining area and fireplace, with double doors on the right to the River Terrace.

The Master Bedroom is beautifully appointed with open ceiling to the original beams and accentuating the original stone walls. The window is double glazed, overlooking the River Terrace, gardens and the River Cole.

This view shows the ensuite facilities and the open aspect of this bedroom.

This ensuite shower room has been finished to high specifications.

This double bedroom offers views of the guest pool and gardens, with a southern aspect.

The twin bedroom is perfect for the family and the window has safety bars.

Here you will find a corner bath with shower hose attachment.

The terrace overlooks the gardens and riverbank, perfect spot really to enjoy nature.

This is a great spot for listening to the wildlife, birds on the River Cole, owls at night and sometimes deer too wander into the gardens.
